 CUTTING KARMIC CORDS Whenever you experience an event that impacts you deeply on a karmic level, it is possible for a cord of energy to connect you to the source of the karma. These nonphysical, energetic cords intrude on your spiritual anatomy by burrowing into your aura, chakras, or the physical body, while the other end remains anchored in the person, place, or time associated with the source of the karma. These cords can feed a recurring cycle, thereby making it almost impossible to release the karma without cutting the cord. There are several signs that you may be experiencing a karmic cord. For example, when you change your thoughts, behaviors, or emotions in order to release yourself from a pattern, a cord might continue to feed the pattern energetically despite your having taken those positive steps forward. How do you know if you have a karmic cord? When events repeat, even after you have integrated the lesson of a causal cycle, then it is also likely you are experiencing an energetic cord. These cords can be trapped in any layer of the aura or any chakra; usually where they are rooted is connected with the type of causal pattern you are experiencing. As an example, a cord stemming from a misuse or underuse of personal power may have one end attached to the solar plexus chakra and the other to the source of your power issues, whether this is a person, place, or point in time. Similarly, emotionally oriented karmic ties may be felt in the heart or sacral chakra or in the emotional body in the aura itself.
